We're not going back.

This state election, Queensland voters have a choice - a choice to keep our rights to free, safe and equal reproductive healthcare or to go back to the dark ages. Don't risk your rights. Put the LNP last on October 26th.

What can you do?

1. Sign and Share our petition.

We are calling on the LNP and David Crisafulli to tell the truth about their plans on abortion. Sign our petition and ask others to sign it too.

2. Text your family and friends.

Tell them that abortion is on the line this election. Click on the link to copy paste the message below and check out this page for more evidence to back you up.

4. Put the LNP last.

Make your vote count. Number every square (it’s a requirement this year) and put your local LNP member LAST. Early voting is now open. Find an early voting poll booth near you.

Our reproductive rights are at risk under the LNP.

There have been developments that only leave us more terrified for the future of Queensland's abortion laws.

The Katter Party has committed to putting a Private Members Bill to parliament “quick as you like” to make abortion a crime again – a “clean repeal” of the 2018 decriminalisation legislation.

The word is out - despite David Crisafulli continuously dodging questions, extreme anti-abortion powerbrokers in the LNP will have the numbers to overturn abortion laws in Queensland if they win the State Election.

Crisafulli has previously said that issues like abortion would require a conscience vote of the LNP. A conscience vote would guarantee any anti-abortion private members bill would be supported by a majority of LNP MPs.

So why is he still refusing to answer the question about a conscience vote when asked repeatedly, day after day?

It’s because David Crisafulli doesn’t want Queenslanders to know their real plan.

We cannot risk giving political decision makers with extremist views so much power over women's choices.

Keep scrolling to see what you can do between now and the election on 26 October.

What LNP's Donna Kirkland's Silence on Abortion Means for Queenslanders

In a recent press conference, Donna Kirkland, the LNP candidate for Rockhampton, repeatedly avoided answering questions about her views on abortion. Reporters pressed her on a 2019 social media post where she shared content from the Australian Christians Party, which described abortion as “the greatest human rights abuse of our time.” Instead of addressing the issue, Kirkland responded with the same two lines: “It’s not a part of our plan” and “We have ruled it out.”

Weasel Words Won’t Cut It: Former LNP Minister Warns of Looming Threat to Reproductive and Voluntary Assisted Dying Rights

Former LNP Minister Jann Stuckey has expressed fears that Queensland’s Liberal National Party (LNP) may overturn abortion and voluntary assisted dying (VAD) laws if elected on October 26. Stuckey, who left the party in 2020, voiced her concerns that despite David Crisafulli’s promises, intense lobbying from anti-choice MPs and other political factions will push for changes.
